Alana Layne Greenberg is a Transpersonal Psychotherapist specializing in relieving the mental/emotional impacts and physiological imprints of traumatic stress. Being a life-long observer of the wisdom that animates the body, Alana's interest in "movement as medicine" led her to become an internationally certified Yoga Therapist and trainer of teachers. Through decades of learning, navigating and experimenting in her own soma and psyche, she has developed a body of work that reflects her quest to understand the essence of full-spectrum wellness. Through somatic awakening, neurological remapping and the poetic technology of several healing methods, Alana offers as many tools as possible to inspire, empower and help people articulate their fullest potential.
Shira has always been committed to the arts, conflict resolution, and social justice. In her career as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor she incorporates trauma informed practices, resiliency work, and dance/movement therapy with children, adolescents, and families.
She understands the power of movement and how it can lead individuals through expression, and healing.
She is a current candidate for the Trauma Studies Certificate from the Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute.
