Our Baltimore-based nonprofit is dedicated to providing healing through trauma-informed yoga.
We currently offer free trauma-informed yoga programs to underserved populations through our partnerships with agencies like the US Department of Health and Human Services Refugee Resettlement office.
Our trauma-informed yoga (TIY) programatic work includes, and is not limited to:
previously incarcerated individuals
those struggling with mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder
those over coming chemical dependency
We lead professional development trainings, and offer trauma sensitive programs for professionals on the front lines of trauma.
In this way we empower, educate, and serve: yoga teachers, social workers, school teachers, firefighters, emergency department staff, inner city teachers, crisis workers, and prison guards.
Our research study demonstrating trauma-informed yoga's efficacy is making a splash and confirming that body-based healing works.
We offer work-trade programs to those who desire to volunteer with under-represented populations.
